About

We are building the tool
we kept wishing existed.

EQLOV started in Mumbai, out of the specific frustration of running good research through bad infrastructure. We are early, and saying so.

Our story

The problem was never
the research.

Primary research in India has never lacked skill. What it lacked was connective tissue. A study would start in one tool, get recruited in a spreadsheet, scheduled over email, moderated somewhere else, transcribed by a vendor, and analysed in a deck built from scratch.

Every handoff cost days. Worse, every handoff lost context. By the time a finding reached the person making the decision, the reasoning behind it had been compressed into a bullet point, and the moment a respondent actually said it was three tools away.

EQLOV is being built to close that distance: one platform where the study is designed, the people are found, the sessions happen, and the evidence stays attached to the conclusion all the way to the boardroom. That is the goal, and we are partway there.

  • THE FRUSTRATION

    Six tools, one study

Years of running fieldwork across disconnected systems, watching good insight decay in transit between them.

  • THE DECISION

    Build the connective layer

Rather than another survey tool, a platform that holds the whole cycle, with the panel built into it rather than bolted on.

  • THE PANEL

    Verify, do not purchase

Recruiting and verifying a pan-India panel in-house, because sample quality is the one thing no amount of software can fix downstream.

  • TODAY

    Building in the open

Modules being written, panel being recruited, and early projects run by hand while the software catches up.

The team

Who runs the work.

Three of us. Small enough that the person who scopes your study is the person who runs it.

Ameya Prabhu

Founder

A consumer research professional with a background in qualitative research and brand planning. PGPM in Marketing from S.P. Jain Institute of Management and Research, with prior roles at Dragonfly Market Research, Kalpataru and Ogilvy & Mather.

Pranjal Desai

Growth Strategist

Leads growth and client development, translating what buyers are trying to decide into the study that answers it.

Prashant Sharma

Full Stack Developer

Builds and maintains the platform, from the survey engine through to the transcription and export layers.

Values

What we hold to,
including when it costs us.

Commitments we are building the company around, written down early so they are harder to quietly drop later.

VALUE 01

Evidence over assertion

Every finding we present links back to the respondent and the moment. If we cannot show you where a conclusion came from, we do not present it as one.

VALUE 02

Say when it will not work

If a sample is not feasible, a timeline is not real, or a method will not answer the question asked, we say so before the project starts rather than after.

VALUE 03

Respondents are participants

Informed consent, fair incentives paid on time, and no dark patterns in a screener. The people who give us their time are the reason any of this works.

VALUE 04

Rigour is not optional under deadline

Speed comes from removing handoffs, not from skipping quality checks. Where those conflict, the checks win and we renegotiate the date.

VALUE 05

Built for the whole team

Research that only the researcher can navigate is research that dies in a folder. Everything we build assumes six people will need to use it.

VALUE 06

Local depth, global standard

Fieldwork that understands tier-3 India, held to the methodological and privacy standards of any international research buyer.

Work with us

Build this with us.

We are looking for research teams willing to use something unfinished and tell us where it breaks. In exchange you shape what gets built next.
